FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A U.S. District Judge on Wednesday sentenced a Fort Wayne man to 15 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to making death threats against Fort Wayne’s Jewish population.

According to court documents, 42-year-old Jeffrey Stevens posted threatening messages online in public and private messages on Facebook and the CIA’s public website.

In one of the Facebook messages to the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD), according to court documents, Stevens said: “I will kill every Jew in Fort Wayne and there is nothing you can do about it because you are stupid assholes… I will make sure I kill every single one of you.”

Court documents from the case also show that on November 17, Stevens wrote a post on the CIA website that said: “I will shoot every pro-Israel U.S. government official in the head, and there is nothing you can do about it because you are the pathetic CIA. I will kill you all.”

According to court documents, someone reported Stevens to the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center on October 13, claiming that Stevens had made several “troubling Facebook posts” following the Hamas attack on Israel a few days earlier.

When Stevens was questioned by police about some of these messages, he reportedly admitted to sending them before saying he had a drinking problem.

Stevens also received two years’ probation after his 15-month prison sentence.

The FBI and FWPD investigated the case.
