Brazilian singer killed instantly by electric shock on stage

A Brazilian singer suddenly died in a bizarre accident during a live performance on stage in front of her horrified fans.

Ayres Sasaki, 35, was in the middle of a performance at a hotel in Salinopolis, Brazil, on Saturday when he was electrocuted on stage and died “instantly,” according to The Sun.

Initial reports suggest that a soaking wet fan approached the singer on stage and hugged him seconds before he was electrocuted by a cable and died.

The local police have launched an investigation into the cause of the musician’s death and want to find out, among other things, how the drenched fan got wet.

In a statement to The Sun, the Solar Hotel said it was “cooperating with the authorities.”

“We are doing everything we can to support his family and take the necessary measures,” the hotel said.

“We reaffirm our commitment to fully cooperate with the relevant authorities to properly investigate these incidents.”

Social media reports said Sasaki also worked as a city architect and married his wife less than a year before his death.

“A super charismatic guy, his talent was absurd,” Sasaki’s friend Adriano Freitas told local news site G1.

“He was the best singer and guitarist in Belém! A great friend, a great family man who cared about his friends and those who liked his work.”

“We were friends in everyday life, even beyond music.”
