Value Electronics to host the 2024 TV Shootout Event

Value Electronics, a prominent independent audio/video retailer based in Westchester County, NY, will host its annual TV Shootout Evaluation event on Saturday and Sunday, August 3-4, 2024, at the company’s main A/V showroom, 35 Popham Road, Scarsdale, NY 10583.

The popular retail integration company explains that the goal of the TV Shootout event is to recognize the best TVs in each of the picture quality attributes. Consumers can use the TV Shootout results to choose the best TV for their tastes and use case. Value Electronics notes that only flagship TVs from premium manufacturers available in the U.S. are selected for the annual TV Shootout event. For the 2024 model year, the competition will be divided into two display categories, OLED and MiniLED TVs.

Moderators are Robert Zohn, President of Value Electronics, and Jason Dustal, AVPro Global, field trainer and ISF instructor. Zohn and Dustal guide the judges through the voting elements. An experienced panel of professional Hollywood video colorists, film finishers, TV critics and video experts were assembled to judge, score and vote on all picture quality attributes to determine which TV will be crowned “King of OLED TVs” and “King of MiniLED TVs” this year. Test patterns and real content demonstrate elements of picture quality including contrast, color fidelity, color saturation and motion resolution.

“In our 20th year, we’re bringing the TV Shootout back to its roots and hosting it at our Scarsdale, NY store where it originally originated. We’re excited to demonstrate the capabilities of these displays and see them side by side to compare,” says Zohn. “This event is a must-attend event for anyone interested in the best video displays.”

The TV Shootout opening keynote and manufacturer presentations will be broadcast live on the Internet to reach the widest possible audience of A/V enthusiasts and media.
