Emmy nominations 2024: All Netflix series and special nominations

The nominations for the 2024 Primetime Emmys are just being announced and Netflix is ​​hoping for a healthy dose of nominations. Can the series top the 160 nominations from 2020? Is one of their series predicted to do big things? Follow us here.

The 76th annual awards ceremony will be held on September 15, 2024, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and will be broadcast worldwide on ABC.

2023 was remarkably flat compared to 2022, with 103 and 105 nominations respectively. Last year’s nominations and wins were won by big names like BEEF, The crown, WednesdayAnd Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, which received 45 nominations alone. BEEF was the big winner for Netflix on Emmy night, taking home eight awards.

Still, Netflix is ​​still well below its previous year’s best year ever in terms of nominations (2020 with 160), and the number of nominations last year was only half of its 2021 peak (44 nominations compared to 22).

What are the chances of a big Netflix win? So far, the odds are mixed, with Baby Reindeer the main favorite. The experts at GoldenDerby update their Emmy win predictions regularly, and these are the Netflix series they think have the potential to win:

• Drama series – The crown in second place behind Shogun. 3 Body problem ranks ninth on their list.
• Limited series – Baby reindeer is the favorite for the prize in this category ahead of Fargo And Chemistry lessons.
• Comedy series – The gentlemen in 9th place and Girl5eva in 11th place, with favorites The bear, HackingAnd Abbot Elementary Schoolrespectively.
• TV movie – scoop is ranked 5th on their list, while Unfrosted is in 8th place. The favorites are Mr. Monk’s last case And Quiz Lady.
• Animated program – Blue-Eyed Samurai is unfortunately not the favorite, as it is only ranked 5th in their predictions, just ahead of Big mouth at 6. X-Men ’97 is currently the favorite.
