Ohio State wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. runs routes with NFL players

Chris Henry Jr. has committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes as of July 28, 2023. The five-star prospect and No. 1 player in the entire 2026 recruiting class (according to 247 Sports) will play his junior season of high school football at Mater Dei in California.

As the talented receiver prepares not only for his next high school season but also his bright future in college football and the NFL, he has been spotted working out with some notable NFL talent.

GOAT Farm Sports shared a video on social media of Henry Jr. running routes with Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens, Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley and Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts.

Not only did the high school wide receiver work with and learn from some solid NFL talent, but the young star also seemed to fit in well with that group’s level during the short footwork drill clip. This is just another big indication of the high potential and unlimited upside that Henry potentially possesses.

With plenty of time left before the 2026 recruiting cycle enters its crazy home stretch, Ohio State can expect other programs to try to interfere to force Henry’s commitment. He is reportedly scheduled to visit both the LSU Tigers and Oregon Ducks here in July.

According to Tom Loy of 247 Sports, Ohio State is still in a good position with Henry, even if others aren’t giving up on his recruitment yet.

So far, Henry is the Buckeyes’ only 2026 signing, but more talent could be added in the near future. Most of the 2026 signings, however, will likely not arrive until 2025.
