“That was my farewell greeting”

After moving to New York, Kelly Clarkson has no reason to return to Los Angeles. American Idol The winner packed up her talk show studio and headed east to the Big Apple, where she now hosts her daytime program.

With Clarkson moving to NYC to be closer to her family, the singer’s future as a coach on The voice was in question when the singing competition was filmed from LA. In a new interview, the “A Moment Like This” singer seems to be fed up with spinning around in her chair.

“I learned a lot about what I can handle, but also about what I shouldn’t handle. That was my farewell to The voice and take this big step,” said Kelly USA today“I love this family, but I thought to myself, ‘I have problems. I can’t smile anymore. I don’t feel like smiling.'”

The voice Season 24 is currently airing on NBC with Niall Horan, Gwen Stefani, John Legend and Reba McEntire. Season 25, which will air sometime in 2024, already sees McEntire and Legend returning to the rotating coaching chairs. Chance the Rapper is also returning as a coach, with Dan + Shay joining the lineup as the first coaching duo.

Clarkson has a long history with The voice dating back to season 2 of the show, when she was an advisor to Blake Shelton. The star returned in season 13 to serve as an advisor to all of the coaches. Clarkson became an official coach from season 14 through season 21. She took a break and returned in season 23, which aired earlier this year.
