Lakshya’s action thriller will be remade only in Hollywood, not in India, Dharma Productions clarifies – Firstpost

Lakshya and Raghav Juyal Kill was highly promoted and praised by the makers and international critics for its storyline. For them, this is not the kind of filming or storytelling that they have experienced before in a Hindi film. The film, produced by Dharma Productions, is now being remade in Hollywood.

However, several reports suggested that the film would be remade in India as well, but Dharma Productions has refuted such claims:

The conflict is simple. A woman is in danger. The man she loves is a commando. Who else will save her? The brutal and relentless violence could be uncomfortable and dangerous to watch, but the film revels in its ugly carnage and bloodcurdling close-ups. The more you suffer, the closer you are filmed. But Kill is also marred by a barrage of cliches that gradually pile up toward the end. The villain wastes his time monologueing, reminding the hero how he massacred the woman he passionately loved.

We have mostly graced celluloid action heroes like Chulbul Pandey and Bajirao Singham. Last year we got a film called
