“To a life full of love”: Michael J. Fox celebrates 36th wedding anniversary with sweet post for his wife Tracy Pollan

Some occasions are always special milestones, like birthdays and wedding anniversaries. For example, Michael J. Fox celebrated his love for his wife Tracy Pollan as the two celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.

Alongside a photo of the two of them at a young age by the pool, he wrote a sweet message to his long-term partner on Instagram. “Here’s to a lifetime of love with the love of your life,” read the caption. “Happy anniversary, T. Forever.”

Meanwhile, Pollan also posted a special message for her better half on Instagram. “Same place, different year! Happy anniversary my love, we haven’t changed one bit,” she wrote. “I love you!”

The couple met in 1985 while filming Family Ties and married in 1988 after dating for several years. Their love story is documented in Fox’s 2023 documentary STILL: A Michael J. Fox Movie. According to Us Weekly, the duo has overcome their greatest challenges together, including his battle with Parkinson’s disease, which he was diagnosed with in 1991.

In a 2013 interview with Howard Stern, the actor recalled his initial reaction to being diagnosed with Parkinson’s, noting that he was “alone and … drinking every day while worrying about his health.” He thanked his wife for helping him change his lifestyle and start therapy. “(She asked me), ‘Is this what you want? This is what you want to be?’ … Eventually, everything got pretty good,” Fox said.

Today they are the proud parents of their son Sam Michael, 34, twin daughters Aquinnah Kathleen and Schuyler Frances, 28, and their 21-year-old daughter Esmé Annabelle.
