Netflix gives green light to original horror series by Haley Z. Boston – the Duffer brothers produce

They may have only just completed half of filming Stranger Things Season 5, but Matt and Ross Duffer – better known as The Duffer Brothers – are already planning their next Upside Down Pictures production at Netflix. Yesterday, the streaming giant announced that it had just greenlit the original psychological horror series from creator and showrunner Haley Z. Boston Something very bad is going to happenin which the Duffers will serve as executive producers alongside Hilary Leavitt as part of their Upside Down deal with Netflix.

Details on Boston’s series are currently scarce, but the official logline – much like the prophetically meaningful title – makes for a fascinating read. It describes the series as “an atmospheric horror series set at a wedding, following the bride and groom in the week leading up to their ill-fated nuptials. This is not a spoiler – just read the title…” Who the bride and groom are, what misfortune befalls their wedding, and exactly what bad thing will happen is a complete mystery to us at this point. However, Boston brings promising genre knowledge to the project, having previously co-written both anthology horror series. And the fact that the multi-talented artist’s show is alongside the Duffers’ own science fiction series, which they are currently working on The Burroughs and a new live action Death notice The adaptation shows that the duo has high expectations for Boston’s culinary skills.
