Resources (AFNR) Matt Bernia [email protected] Nursing Student Club Yolanda Burris [email protected] Our primary mission is to support the personal and professional development of nursing students. In terms of student retention, we focus on creating a close-knit community through mutual support and exciting events that bring students of different levels together and encourage casual connections. We also strive to keep everyone well-informed by increasing access to important information such as scholarships, seminars, and volunteer opportunities. In the area of professional development, we help our members shape their roles and connect them with local, state, and regional nursing organizations. As a welcoming committee for those beginning the MCC nursing program, our goal is to break down barriers to success and ensure everyone feels at home. In addition, we provide a platform for the development of exciting work groups that cover everything from fundraisers and graduation ceremonies to community service opportunities.
