iPhone experts present the model with the best price-performance ratio

That time of year is approaching when a new iPhone model comes out and we are suddenly forced to throw away our current device and spend a fortune on it.

You know, you decide you just need to spend all that money on another device before you realize that your device is actually perfectly fine.

But there comes a time when you need to upgrade your tech, and Apple always offers a whole list to choose from.

However, it doesn’t always seem to be worth buying the latest, as the latest iPhone doesn’t necessarily seem to be the best.

That’s why experts reveal which model of the cult phone offers the best value for money.

The best and oldest model

While many Apple fans praise the 2020 iPhone 12 as the best and longest-lasting generation of the device, experts say it goes a step further and is even better.

They told the Daily Mail that the iPhone 13, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max are the ideal older models with the best value for money as they perfect all the good parts of the previous model.

Former Apple employee Tyler Morgan said he “always recommends” the iPhone 13 Pro because since its release there have been “only copies with minor updates and gimmicks.”

Repair technician Stan agreed that he would go for a 13 model, describing it as a “revision” of the iPhone 12. In the UK, a regular iPhone 13 from Apple currently costs from £599.

The best budget model

So the iPhone 13 is great, but many experts also recommend a cheaper model for those who really want to keep costs down but still stay loyal to the tech company.

Introduced in 2016, the iPhone SE (short for Special Edition) quickly became the holy grail of “affordable” Apple devices.

In 2022, a newer model of the SE was released, which means it is still state of the art.

“If you’re looking for the best value for money, I think it’s the SE 2022,” Stan said. “Every tech guy has their own opinion, but that’s usually my first choice.”

He added that if you’re just looking for the basics, this model is the perfect choice. Sure, it doesn’t have Face ID, but not everyone is a fan of that, but it still has decent response times and internet speeds.

Stan said the camera is pretty good, but obviously doesn’t have some of the higher-end features found in other models.

In the UK, the iPhone SE currently costs from £429 from Apple.
