Negros Occidental Little League returns as Asia Pacific representative for the 2024 Little League Softball® World Series presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods

After winning the national championship, the Negros Occidental Little League (Bacolod City, Philippines) returns once again to Greenville, North Carolina to represent the Asia-Pacific region for the third consecutive year at the 2024 Little League Softball.^® World Series, presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods.

As in previous years, the Little League^® The International Tournament Committee’s decision to send the national champion of the Philippines to the 2024 Little League Softball World Series was made due to the strength of local Little League softball programs in the Philippines and because only a limited number of teams could travel to participate in the Asia-Pacific tournament.

The Negros Occidental Little League, winner of the 2022 Girls with Game Team Sportsmanship Award, finished the 2022 Little League Softball World Series with a score of 3-3, losing in the Mid-Atlantic Region Purple Bracket finals, finishing in the top four of the event. In 2023, the league finished its journey through the Purple Bracket with a score of 0-2.

With the first round pairings set, the Negros Occidental Little League will once again compete in the Purple Bracket and open the tournament in Game 4 against the North Carolina (host) Region Champions on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

In addition to the fun and excitement of the 2024 Little League Softball World Series, participants in this year’s event will also have the unique opportunity to spend time with the game’s best athletes when Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball returns to Greenville for the 2024 AU Pro Games as part of the LLSWS, with a doubleheader at East Carolina University on Wednesday, August 7.

The 2024 Little League Softball World Series will be held August 4-11 in Greenville, North Carolina. In addition to admitting the Negros Occidental Little League to the Little League Softball World Series, due to the same situation, the Little League International Tournament Committee has also decided to admit the Smokey Mountain Little League (Manila, Philippines) to the 2024 Junior League Softball World Series and the Negros Occidental Little League (Bacolod City, Philippines) to the 2024 Senior League Softball World Series.
