The film REPAIR HERE REPAIR NOW began in theaters around the world on Thursday (June 20). The film will also be showing in select theaters over the next week. A list of participating theaters and showtimes can be found on the film’s website. REPAIR HERE REPAIR NOW blends narrative with concert footage to create a unique work. The full soundtrack is available on July 26th and includes live performances recorded for the film at the Kia Forum. It’s pretty rare for a band to put together a project like this, so I have to give Ghost my due.

In other Ghost news, the band currently has no tour dates planned for 2024. But don’t worry too much because these guys aren’t going anywhere. It’s only a matter of time before they announce some live shows. But Ghost are busy because in addition to the film, the band is currently working on a new album that will be the follow-up to their 2022 album. IMPERA.

Ghost frontman Tobias Forge recently spoke to Metal Hammer magazine about the band’s rise. He mentioned that there are a lot more young people at their shows these days. He also said that Ghost had 4,000 people at their last show in Detroit. The last time they played in the Motor City, there were more than 10,000, which makes him happy. He also has no regrets. “If I could go back in time and curate everything, there are of course a few things I would have done differently,” he said. “But that has very little to do with my actual career.” The band described the new album as follows: “Whether you are a devoted follower looking to relive precious memories of the GHOST live spectacle, or you are one of the curious uninitiated, REPAIR HERE REPAIR NOW and the accompanying soundtrack puts you right there: putting down your phones and living in the moment as a shadow of uncertainty looms, completely transfixed and under the spell of this bombastic yet intimate cinematic portrait of Ghost.” I’m here for it, Forge.
