Eminem, born Marshall Mathers, is expected to displace Taylor Swift from the top of the Billboard 200 with his new album. The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)Per HITS Daily Double.

This news pleases the fans of The “Tortured Poets” section Artist, 34. When Pop Base posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), “The Death of Slim Shady by Eminem aims for a #1 entry on the Billboard 200 with over 300,000 units,” Swifties were quick to respond.

“TAYLOR RELEASE THOSE VINYLS,” tweeted one fan, while another wrote, “He’s going to ruin Taylor’s streak if she doesn’t release the rainbow version or whatever it’s called.” Another person wrote, “For the first time… I actually want Taylor to block someone.” The comments also included Eminem fans, who wrote, “300k without a medical exam that’s why he’s the scapegoat.”

Swifties also took on Eminem in January 2024 when they complained on social media that the rapper was featured during the broadcast of a football game between the Detroit Lions and the Los Angeles Rams.

Of course, this wasn’t really about Eminem, but rather about proving that football fans were just mad that Swift was shown at NFL games because she’s a woman.

“Oh my god they put Eminem in the stands again! This is ridiculous and I’m so offended! They are ruining football,” one fan posted on X, referring to all the complaints that Swift supporting her boyfriend Travis Kelce at games is “ruining football.” Another fan posted, “Why is it okay for Eminem to rock out and cheer at NFL games but when Taylor Swift does it’s disruptive? #Swifties.”

Eminem’s new album is off to a great start. Hot 97 reported on Monday, July 15, that it debuted with 63 million streams on Spotify in its first day. The release of the 12th studio album marks his biggest streaming debut to date. Ahead of the release, Eminem, 51, revealed to his fans how they can enjoy his latest album.

“Public notice: Death of Slim Shady is a concept album, so if you listen to the songs in the wrong order, they may not make sense. Enjoy,” the rapper posted on X.

The Detroit native promoted the album in an elaborate way, including an obituary in the Detroit Free Press and a wake at the album release party. Eminem also teamed up with fast-food chain White Castle to release “White Rapper” merchandise.
