Delaware Valley 2023 graduate competes in I Love NY Horse Show

On the three show days, Kylie Schoelen successfully competed in 12 different classes.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Kylie Schoelen (class of 2023) and graduate of Delaware Valley University recently competed in the 2024 I Love NY Horse Show in Lake Placid, New York.

Schoelen competed in the adult showjumper category on DelVal’s own horse, Java’s Keltic Mist, and in the adult showjumper category on her own horse, Capone Z, who she currently leases to the DelVal horse program.

Schoelen graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Equine Science and is currently studying veterinary medicine at St. George’s University in Grenada. While at DelVal, she was a student-athlete in three sports for the Aggies, competing for the hunt and dressage teams as well as the track and field team.

She also completed an internship at DelVal’s breeding center, where she worked as a student assistant manager of the breeding center from May to December 2023.

During three days of the I Love NY Horse Show, Schoelen successfully participated in 12 different
classes. She won two third places for her performances in the Adult Hunter Classic Division and in the Adult Hunter 18-35 Steeplechase Division and took fourth place in the NEHC Adult Hunt Seat Division.
