“They’ll recruit you. You’ll become one of them.” Prime Video has released a teaser trailer for the series called Citadel: Dianathe next spin-off within the framework of the “global citadel Universe.” Some of you (anyone?) may remember that last year Prime Video launched a spy action thriller series called citadelstarring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Although there were no details at the time, it was said that it was part of a global series universe related to citadel. Here’s the next one – an Italian spin-off, entirely created and shot in Italy, starring Italian actress Matilda De Angelis as Diana Cavalieri. This is set in the future in 2030, after the fall of Citadel, when she becomes involved in rival European crime syndicates. The cast also includes actors Lorenzo Cervasio, Maurizio Lombardi, Julia Platon, Thekla Reuten, Giordana Faggiano, Bernhard SchützAnd Filippo NigroThe Italian original, Citadel: Dianais the second series from the world of citadel and it follows India’s series, Citadel: Honey Bunny. Milan, 2030: Eight years ago, the independent global intelligence agency citadel was destroyed by the powerful enemy syndicate known as Manticore. Since then, Diana Cavalieri (starring Matilda De Angelis), an undercover Citadel agent, is alone and trapped behind enemy lines as a mole in Manticore. When she finally sees a way out and a chance to disappear forever, the only option is to trust the most unexpected ally, Edo Zani (Lorenzo Cervasio), heir to Manticore Italy and son of the head of the Italian syndicate, Ettore Zani (Maurizio Lombardi), who is vying against all other European families for leadership.

Citadel: Diana is directed by showrunner and executive producer Gina Gardini. Leaded by Arnaldo Catinari and developed by Alessandro Fabbri – who is also the head writer and wrote the series together with Ilaria Bernardini, Laura Colella, Gianluca Bernardini and Giordana Mari. Citadel: Diana was created, produced and shot on location in Italy, with production wrapping earlier this year. Produced by Cattleya (ZeroZeroZero) – part of ITV Studios. Executive producers are Riccardo Tozzi, Marco Chimenz and Giovanni Stabilini; Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Ostot, Scott Nemes and David Weil (Hunters) of AGBO.
