Inside Strictly star Graziano Di Prima’s marriage to his famous wife after he was fired over misconduct allegations

Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Graziano Di Prima has been “fired” by the BBC after being accused of misconduct towards his ex-partner Zara McDermott.

According to the Mail on Sunday, the Italian star was confronted by bosses of the Saturday night dance show this week and his contract was terminated. The BBC confirmed in a statement that Graziano was no longer part of the cast.

That comes just two days after being confronted with video evidence, In it, Graziano is said to have “several times kicked and hit” his celebrity dance partner while training for the show last year.

Everyone’s stomach was simply turned when the footage became available and our sympathies went out to Zara who had obviously been suffering in silence. On Saturday, July 13, the Italian professional expressed his deep regret about the events which led to his exit from the popular BBC dance show. In a shocking statement, he admitted: “My great passion and determination to win may have compromised my training regime.”

The dancer has been with Strictly since 2018 and has danced with a number of stars since joining, including Vicky Hope , Judi Love , Kym Marsh and Zara.

He and his dancer Wife Giada Lini 32, are at the peak of their busy careers. They both met 10 years ago on an Italian dance show where they were professional partners, later married in 2022 and Graziano exclusively revealed OK! That it was love at first sight.

“I fell in love immediately. With Giada, it took a little longer,” he said. “It was very difficult to make her understand that I liked her, and she is also very strict in her job and very polite. On July 9, 2022, the Strictly Come Dancing professional opened his heart and the door to his parents’ house to OK! within his inner circle as he prepared to tie the knot with Giada.

His house, where his mother Giovanna and his father Pietro Filippo, who is smaller than Graziano, live, is modest and immaculate with marble floors and tasteful decor. A selection of OK! Magazines are stacked under a glass table with champagne glasses. “My mother loves OK! ”, he confessed.

Graziano has been a popular part of the BBC One series Strictly Come Dancing since 2018. In his first series, he was paired with radio DJ Vick Hope, but the duo only finished in 12th place.

Graziano then had no celebrity partner for the next two seasons before being paired with Loose Women’s Judi Love for season 19. Although they didn’t top the leaderboard, only coming 10th, their memorable performances, particularly their samba to Sean Paul, left a lasting impression.

In 2022, Graziano teamed up with former Coronation Street star Kym Marsh and steadily climbed the leaderboard alongside the likes of Tony Adams, Will Mellor, Ellie Simmonds and Tyler West, all vying for a coveted place in the final.

Graziano was dating Zara McDermott at the time and even visited her apartment in Chelsea and met her smitten boyfriend Sam.
