Fans of “Baby Reindeer” are heartbroken over the sudden death of the show star, who leaves behind “a partner and young children”

The Netflix hit “Baby Reindeer” has made household names of its stars like Richard Gadd, who plays Donny, and Jessica Gunning, who plays Martha.

The seven-part drama tells in fictional form the story of Richard’s own years-long stalking nightmare after he worked in a bar to pay his bills and kindly bought a lonely customer a cup of tea on the house.

Over a terrifying three-year period, Martha sends Donny more than 41,000 emails, 350 hours of voicemails, dozens of social media messages, and 106 pages of letters in which she refers to him as a “baby reindeer”—hence the title of the show.

Richard is a Scottish comedian who initially wrote the drama as a stage play, which later won an Olivier Award. He has admitted that he was once suicidal due to the shocking stalker threat. This week it was revealed that he is allegedly a millionaire and uses a different name while Piers Morgan interviewed the “real Martha”.

But now fans are devastated by the sudden death of another key player.

Attentive observers may have noticed that the sixth episode of the show contains a dedication to a certain person named Llewellyn Harrison, which reads: “In loving memory of Llewellyn Harrison.”

Llewellyn is credited as the series’ cinematographer throughout the season and has the role of “Key Grip.”

A key grip oversees the equipment on a production, including coordinating transportation and positioning cameras. IMDb also states that he has worked on TV shows such as Top Boy, Death in Paradise, Silent Witness and Holby City, as well as films such as The Marvels and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.

A JustGiving page was set up to raise money for his family. The target of £500 was exceeded by donations totalling over £12,000. The page states: “Llewellyn was a much valued colleague, friend and mentor to many. His sudden death has shocked us all and we will miss his absence very much.”

“We would like to use this opportunity to raise funds for the family he leaves behind.”

Tragically, his family apparently consisted of a partner and young children, as a dedication reads: “I am so sorry to hear the devastating news about Llew, he really was such a lovely man. Sending all our love to Tracy, the children and the family at this difficult time.”

Another heartfelt message read: “Very, very sad news. A tragic loss. Our thoughts are with his family. I know he had a young daughter who came to the set of a Little Mix video I did with Lew a few years ago.”

Meanwhile, Clerkenwell Films, the production company of Baby Reindeer, posted: “Our deepest condolences to the family. He was a wonderful man who did his job with honor.”

And a Holby colleague added: “Since the days of Holby, it has been great fun working alongside you, Llew. A warm hug and a nice chat whenever our paths crossed. You will be missed. Lots of love to your family. Such a loss.”
