World Action 2024: Panasonic employees worldwide work together towards a common goal | CSR | Sustainability | Feature Story

One aspect of the Group’s CSR activities is the Panasonic ECO-RELAY program, a long-standing annual campaign with a history spanning more than 30 years. Under this program, employees worldwide drive the planning and implementation of community-based environmental activities such as tree planting, clean-up and educational programs.

“In addition to environmental activities such as Panasonic ECO-RELAY, this year’s World Action 2024 focuses on educating employees about the eco-actions they can incorporate into their daily lives – at home, on the commute, at work, and elsewhere,” said Shigyo. “As colleagues around the world take individual actions, a special online site has been set up to track eco-actions, Eco-Runners (participants), and the Daily Action List (eco-actions in each region), fostering a sense of unity among participants, inspiring them to learn new habits, and encouraging others to join in.”

As of July 12, Eco-Runner staff have completed more than 16,000 Eco-Actions in seven regions – Japan, China/Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia/Oceania, India/South Asia/Middle East/Africa, South America, North and Central America, and Europe – and the number is growing.
