“First Take” star Chris Russo criticizes 72-year-old Bill Belichick for his relationship with a 24-year-old cheerleader and calls her “too much”
CHRIS “Mad Dog Russo” is the latest journalist to comment on Bill Belichick’s new relationship.
Last week, it was revealed that Belichick was dating 24-year-old former competitive cheerleader Jordon Hudson.
Hudson is 48 years younger than Belichick, which has prompted Russo and others to share their thoughts.
“The 24-year-old girlfriend is a bit much for Belichick, let’s be honest, a bit much,” Russo said on his SiriusXM radio show Mad Dog Unleashed.
“He is 50 years older.”
Russo added that he would have a problem if Belichick showed up at his house and wanted to date his 23-year-old daughter, Kiera Russo.
The 64-year-old athlete then joked to his team that he would bring Belichick on his show if he went out with his daughter.
Previously, sports star Jason Whitlock recently sharply criticized the age difference between Belichick and Hudson on X (formerly known as Twitter).
“Yes, a 72-year-old with a 24-year-old is humiliating,” he wrote.
“This is a really bad image for a man, especially one who aspires to a leadership position.
“72 and 45, nobody would care. 72 and 40, nobody would care much. 72 and 24 looks very perverse. It looks like Epstein.”
Belichick has never been accused of any crimes, especially not the kind that Whitlock implied.
The former New England Patriots head coach reportedly met Hudson for the first time on a flight from the Boston area to Florida in 2021.
The two reportedly became close through a philosophy project she was working on at the time.
TMZ reported that the couple exchanged contact information after the flight.
Hudson and the former head coach grew closer after he ended his relationship with his longtime partner Linda Holliday.
Belichick also made headlines last year when footage from a ring camera showed him sneaking out of a house shirtless.
The disadvantages of a relationship with a large age difference
Dr. Jenn Mann, MFT, a licensed therapist, reveals the main problems faced by romantic partners with a large age gap.
Dr. Mann says it can be exciting at first when one partner is much younger than the other, as is the case with Bill Belichick, 72, and Jordon Hudson, 24, who have an age difference of a whopping 48 years.
“As people get older, they may just find it refreshing to have a young woman look at them lovingly, be attracted to them and be interested in them,” Dr. Mann told The US Sun.
“(But) there is a huge gap in life experience – in just a few years on this planet, in the ways that help us develop and mature.”
“Even the most mature young people are incredibly immature when there is a 40-year age difference between them.
“They don’t meet in the middle when it comes to development and life experience.”
Dr Mann said a common consideration among older male partners is that the younger woman wants a father figure.
“Typically, younger women are attracted to much older men because of unresolved issues with their fathers,” Dr. Mann added.
“It could be a lack of attention or love, someone’s absence, or even the fact that someone is in the household but not as present as they would like.”
Dr. Mann noted that issues related to sexuality and intimacy may play a role, as the older partner may not have as much energy.
In addition, it is “typically more difficult for older men to get and maintain an erection,” she said.
“There are issues related to sexual performance that may pose additional risks when taking medications to enhance sexual performance.”
Socially, says Dr. Mann, problems can arise between couples when they come into contact with friends from different generations.
“If they’re hanging out with Bill’s friends who are in their 70s or even 60s and 50s, it’s probably going to be difficult for a 24-year-old woman at that table to find common social ground,” she said.

The 72-year-old opened and closed the door of the house last November before walking down the porch of the property.
It is now assumed that the apartment belonged to his 24-year-old girlfriend.
Since they met in 2021, the two have often been seen out and about.
Belichick had already participated in a cheerleading competition in March to support Hudson.
The couple also posed for a photo on a boat to Croatia during a business trip.
