Death Goals tell their story with Matt Reynolds, who can be heard on their new single “Knife Bouquet”

“Young lovers entangled in pain.”

A year after their second album, queercore duo Death targets have released a new single, “Knife bouquet“, through Prosthetic recordsThe huge route accommodates all Death target‘s glowing energy balanced with melodic vocals and expansive effects.”Knife bouquetThe lyrics of ” are taken from old diaries and are described as a ‘necessary catharsis’ – a longing to leave years of heartache behind but being unsure how to do so. The track contains Matt Reynolds (from Emaciated cat And Devil), And Harry Bailey (vocals and guitar) describes the history of the band with Reynolds in an exclusive feature below.

26.06.2014 – Shikari performs with Baby Godzilla at the Hatfield Forum

This was the first time I saw the artists formerly known as Baby Godzilla (now known as Devil) live, as support act for Shikari performance twenty minutes from my parents’ house.

I had stumbled upon Devil by the “Motorboat disaster video and was instantly enchanted by them. The ferocity of their live show, the total disregard for their instruments and the way they walked the line between chaos and utter misfortune.

Needless to say, I had to buy tickets when this show was announced.

I had seen Shikari performance and knew them as an incredible live act, but when the members of Devil When they took the stage, I forgot they were even playing. Immediately, guitars were being thrown into the crowd, drums were being dragged across the stage, Johnny stormed the bar – they were everything I wanted from a band.

When they finally brought the drums back on stage, I ran to the merchandise table and approached them. I nervously asked for a selfie and bought a copy of their single “Pig. Matt was friendly and devoted way too much of his time to a talkative 17-year-old.

Fast forward many years and several Devil Shows later (greetings to the Hevy Fest set in particular), Death targets was born, and without shame I admit that I stole everything I saw Devil They try, with moderate success, to fill the huge gap left by their separation.

Our paths crossed from time to time at shows with Matt and Tom, who played in Emaciated cat And Palm readerbut the crowning moment of my fandom was when Death targets must open Devil’s reunion show at Underworld.

Needless to say, there would be no Death targets without Deviland to be able to say that Matt is on one of our songs is something I could only dream of as a 17-year-old.

In a Death targets Firstly, the track features her “clearest” vocals to date, performed behind the drums of George Milnerthe alt rock of the 00s channeled into edgy metalcore. It is fair to say that it is a great track by the band that tops all the tracks on A garden of dead flowers. Praise must go to the pictures of “Kinfe bouquet“, in collaboration with long-time collaborator Kate Feast, to create “spooky” with BRATtitude.
