WorkerHero raises €4 million in Series A for AI-powered recruiting

Munich-based recruiting technology startup WorkerHero has raised 4 million euros in a Series A financing round.

WorkerHero was founded in 2021 by Richard Fischer, Steven Miller, Michael König and Emanuel Wernitz to address the shortage of skilled workers.

The company uses AI-driven sourcing and matching to connect companies with highly qualified candidates.

The platform is available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and has over 70,000 users. Companies that use the platform for recruiting include Telekom, HelloFresh and BayWa.

Mediahuis led the round, which included participation from 10x Founders and Bonsai Partners.

Accordingly Patrick de Wachter, Director of Corporate Development at Mediahuis:

Workerhero’s outstanding performance demonstrates the effectiveness of focusing on clearly defined worker sectors that deliver better-suited candidates much faster than broader market participants.

Richard Fischer, CEO and co-founder of WorkerHero, emphasizes:

“We want to solve the labor shortage in Europe by helping companies find skilled workers at home and abroad. With the support of Mediahuis and our existing investors, we are well positioned to realize our vision.”

The funding round will enable WorkerHero to continue to grow with an updated platform and enter new industries. In addition, WorkerHero plans to focus on international recruitment to help companies recruit skilled workers from abroad.
