Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia spoke at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Monday and sharply criticized President Joe Biden’s administration for global wars, the opioid epidemic and its commitment to transgender rights.

“An American government that serves not the interests of the rich, the globalists or the powerful few, but of all hard-working Americans, is within our reach,” Greene said, adding that former President Donald Trump “will make America successful again.”

The convention took place two days after an assassination attempt on Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania. The suspected gunman, who was killed by police, killed one person and seriously injured two.

On Monday, delegates officially nominated Trump as the Republican presidential candidate, just hours after Trump named Senator JD Vance of Ohio as his running mate. During the convention, delegates will also adopt a party platform.
