Sharon Stone recreates the famous “Basic Instinct” scene in red underwear at the age of 66

With the cheeky caption, “BASICALLY…HERS,” she paid a playful nod to the film that cemented her status as a Hollywood legend.

In the hit film directed by Paul Verhoeven, Sharon wore a flawless, all-white outfit for the iconic scene.

However, for her sensual social media update, she opted for a bold change and slipped into a bright red lingerie set.

She paired her matching lace bra and panties with a statement chunky necklace and blue strappy high heels with purple bows on her ankles.

“Yes, damn hot!” enthused former fashion model Paulina Porizkova.

Her acting colleague Kristin Chenoweth said: “Even more beautiful!”

“Beyond gorgeous both inside and out,” said one fan, while another wrote: “Your fabulous baby, I love you Sharron.”

“BASICALLY…YOURS,” the actress wrote in the caption as she struck her much-talked-about cross-legged pose.

Another wrote: “You’re still my celebrity crush.”

Others were even more scathing, with one saying: “Be aware of your age and put some clothes on. This is not hot, it’s disgusting and a form of elder abuse.”

“You don’t have to do that, Sharon. Don’t let yourself be ‘degraded’. Keep talking, but in a better costume,” read another comment.

“Come on…” said another. “Don’t embarrass yourself like that. You should keep your dignity.”

The Basic instinct The scene, which is still one of the most discussed scenes in film history, sparked massive controversy at the time.

The casino The actress said people in the industry looked down on her because her boundary-pushing role earned her a Golden Globe nomination.

“Sometimes I just have to step out of the pool and paint,” the 66-year-old actress wrote in the caption of a recent post in which she took off her top to paint in her bikini bottoms.

“I was nominated for a Golden Globe for this role and when I went to the Golden Globes and they called my name, a lot of people in the room laughed,” she said in Table for two Podcast in 2023. “I was so humbled. And I thought, ‘Does anyone have any idea how hard it was to play this role? And to try to carry this complex film that really pushed all boundaries?'”

Due to the negative reactions to the film, she vowed never to play overly sexual characters or those with a dark personality again.

“It’s brutal to play these characters,” she added. “And that’s why I don’t play them anymore.”

“I lost custody of my child,” she said on the podcast. “When the judge asked my child – my tiny, little boy – ‘Do you know your mother makes sex films?’ that was a kind of abuse by the system, that kind of abuse that I was viewed as a mother because I had made that film.”
