Taylor Swift suffers a serious accident on stage for the third time during the Eras tour

There may have been an old lady who swallowed a fly before, but Taylor Swift is the pop superstar who is constantly swallowing bugs.

The 14-time Grammy winner, who is touring the world with her history-making album, Epoch tour since March 2023 – was in the middle of her latest show in Milan when she told the audience that she had accidentally choked on an insect.

Coughing, 34-year-old Swift announced in front of the sold-out San Siro stadium that she had “caught another virus.”

Fan footage of the moment shows the crowd starting to laugh before cheering for the “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” artist.

“I knew it was going to happen because there are so many bugs here tonight,” explained Swift, who was performing a mashup of “I Almost Do” and “The Moment I Knew” when the mishap occurred. “I just have to cough a little bit.”

Swift’s accidental inhalation of insects during her first night in Milan was her third time in the world. Epoch tourin which the “Love Story” artist performed over 100 shows in open-air stadiums around the world.

She first contracted a virus during one of her performances in Chicago in June 2023. Swift was standing on stage with the microphone in her hand when she started coughing and looked like she was about to get sick.

“I swallowed a bug. I’m so sorry,” she told the crowd at Soldier Field. After composing herself and joking that it was “delicious,” Swift quipped, “Is there any chance none of you saw that?”

Unfortunately, the creepy crawlies were not on Swift’s side in London either.

During the performance of the 10-minute version of the fan favorite Red While singing the track “All Too Well” during her third night at Wembley Stadium last month, Swift was about to start the song’s pre-chorus when she had to once again tell the crowd that she had choked on an insect.

This time she got the audience to keep going.

“I swallowed a bug, can you sing?” she asked as fans took over for her.
