Singer Tayla Parx criticizes Normani for not mentioning her collaboration on the debut album “Dopamine”: “I just dropped my shit and ignored it”

Tayla Parx was shocked to learn that she had helped compose a song that was Normanis Debut album, one month after its release.

Last month, following the highly anticipated release of her first solo project on June 14, Norman sat for an interview with a media personality Zach Sang give more insight into DopamineAt some point during the chat, they explained how the sixth song on the album, “Insomnia,” came about. According to Normanthe tune was originally recorded years ago during the pandemic and almost never saw the light of day, as it was removed from the album. However, thanks to her new management, the song was eventually added back to the tracklist.

Norman also confirmed that “Insomnia” was produced by Victoria Monet and has vocal productions by brandyShe also noticed how singer Tayla Parx and songwriting team Stargate helped the song come into being. However, it seems that Tayla Parx Not only did she have no idea she was on the album, but she was reportedly not credited for her work.

In a post shared with X today (July 15), she posted Normanis Interview with Zach Sang and claimed,

“It’s crazy because I haven’t listened to the album yet and this is how I find out I’m on it… no credit, no deals done. People I’ve known forever. They just dropped my shit and left me out lol okayyy! #taylamade”

The post received mixed reactions, with some claiming she had Norman personally, and others argue how Tayla Parx showed that the situation was valid. At the time of this report, it does not look like Norman or their team has looked into the allegation.
