Heather Gay signs second book deal: Good Time Girl
Season 4 of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City was incredible. Heather Gaywho was Jen Shah’s favorite, stepped out of her former friend’s shadow. The fact that Jen was sent to prison helped Heather achieve that goal. Eventually, she admitted that Jen allegedly gave her the infamous black eye.
But during the season 4 finale, RHOSLC viewers were stunned when Heather caught Monica Garcia off guard. She revealed that Monica was part of the troll account Reality Von Tease. The account was targeting Jen and the other Salt Lake City Housewives. All in all, the reveal was brilliantly staged. But now Heather is moving on and announcing a new project.
Heather Gay gets a second book deal
Heather wrote her first book, a memoir called Bad Mormon, about growing up in the Mormon faith and her subsequent decision to leave it. She also described the failure of her marriage. The book landed on the New York Times bestseller list, much to Heather’s surprise. “I want to keep doing this, and I want to write a second book, and I want to write a third book,” Heather said after the success of Bad Mormon.
Well, Heather announces her second book in an Instagram post. “Code of honor, whaaaat??!!?? I’m excited to announce my second book, Good Time Girl. This book goes where Bad Mormon didn’t dare and offers receipts! Evidence! Timeline! Screenshots! about life, love, and most importantly, second chances. Pre-order now!” Heather wrote. The cover featured Heather lifting up her shirt with the title of the book covering her breasts.
Kudos to Lisa Barlow, who insulted Heather in Season 1 by saying she was a “good time girl” from college. Lisa wrote in the comments, “Congratulations GTG” with three black heart emojis. Heather replied, “@lisabarlow14 all thanks to you LB! xoxo.” Then Baby Gorgeous paid Heather a sweet compliment. “No one is a better writer than you! Pre-order now,” she posted.
But Lisa wasn’t the only Salt Lake City stay-at-home mom to congratulate the author. “ANOTHER BESTSELLER IN THE MAKE. I’m not a reader, but with a cover like this and an author who has given me so many laughs and tears of joy, I’m pre-ordering now,” wrote Angie Katsanevas. “Congratulations, Heather. I’ve never been so excited about a book… I mean, you inspired me to write a novel in the comments. You look amazing. I’m so happy for you!”
