Registration Opens for Innovations in Farm Protection Summer Webinar Series – Ohio Ag Net

Ohio Farm Bureau’s Young Agricultural Professionals are hosting a series of Lunch and Learn webinars with Nationwide this summer. Each session will showcase new and innovative solutions, research and information on the latest technologies and strategies to protect farms and rural communities.

Participants will receive one hour of workers’ compensation training for each session they attend. This training may be credited toward the employer’s annual two-hour training requirement under the Workers’ Compensation Group Rating Program.

Hear from Bethany Rowles of Nationwide Agribusiness about the research being conducted as part of a unique partnership between Ohio Farm Bureau, Ohio State University and Nationwide. The AgTech Innovation Hub aims to foster the development of new solutions that help the agricultural ecosystem while better understanding, managing and mitigating climate risk.

Friday, August 30 – ATV/UTV Safety

Join Emily Atwood, Risk Management Consulting Manager at Nationwide Agribusiness, in an innovative education campaign to reduce the number of ATV and UTV accidents.

The Ohio Farm Bureau Young Agricultural Professionals program provides leadership development and career advancement opportunities for Farm Bureau members ages 18 to 35. In addition to this summer series, the program hosts the Winter Leadership Experience, a leadership experience in Washington, DC, and conducts the Outstanding Young Farmer, Excellence in Agriculture, and Discussion Meeting competitions.
