After the assassination attempt on Trump, 50 Cent’s song is widely shared on the Internet

Almost immediately after former President Donald Trump was shot in the ear in an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania, a 2003 hit by rapper 50 Cent began going viral.

The song “Many Men (Death Wish)” is supposedly about how the rapper was shot nine times in 2000 and survived.

The rapper, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, sang the song in Boston in front of an edited photo from his album “Get Rich or Die Trying” showing Trump’s head on 50 Cent’s body.

“Many, many, many, many men. Wish me dead, Lord, I won’t cry anymore, I won’t look to heaven anymore, have mercy on me,” the artist can be heard rapping in the video.

The edited album cover was also shared on social media, with the rapper writing: “Trump gets shot and now I’m trending.”

According to HuffPost, 50 Cent also shared a photo of the former president with a bloody ear and raised fist in a now-deleted post.

“I know the mood, we are all in trouble now!” he wrote under the post.

During a visit to Capitol Hill in June, 50 Cent told CBS News correspondent Nikole Killion that he saw black men “identifying with Trump,” according to The Hill.

When asked if he had already decided who he would support in the upcoming election, the rapper said he had not yet decided.
