NEW ORLEANS – The Michigan Tech athletics teams and Landon Cosby And Sam Long were honored with the USTFCCCA All-Academic award, the USTFCCCA announced Monday afternoon.
To qualify for team awards, the overall GPA of all student-athletes on the indoor and outdoor teams must average above 3.0. The women’s team was honored with an overall GPA of 3.54, while Michigan Tech’s men finished the 2023-24 year with a GPA of 3.51.
Criteria for USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes:

Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale through the end of the competitive semester. Institutions using a different GPA scale must convert the GPA to a 4.0 scale using the standard conversion method (GPA/scale x 4.0). The data must be able to be certified by the institution’s registrar.

By the end of the competition semester, at least 24 semester hours/36 quarter hours must have been completed at the university.

Transfer students and/or graduate students need only report grades earned at the current nominating institution.

The student athlete must have achieved an automatic or provisional qualification score (individual or relay competition) for either the indoor season or the outdoor season.
