Jax Taylor focuses on family after split from Brittany Cartwright

At the same time, TMZ asked the TV star about the rumors circulating about him and model Paige Woolen. He stuck to his previous stance and firmly denied any romantic relationship, insisting: “We’re cool.”

Taylor’s hope for reconciliation stands in stark contrast to his former partner’s actions. In March, The Blast reported that Cartwright had removed the 45-year-old’s legal last name, Cauchi, from her Instagram bio, indicating a significant change in their relationship status.

Her bio was originally “Brittany Cartwright Cauchi,” but it was changed to “Brittany Cartwright.” She emphasized her Kentucky heritage with the phrase, “Just a Kentucky girl living in a beautiful world.”

Cartwright also briefly mentioned her son with Taylor, her podcast “When Reality Hits,” and her reality TV show “The Valley.” These updates suggested that Cartwright was focusing on her roots and her career.

It’s worth noting that prior to Taylor’s recent statements, a reconciliation between the former couple seemed unlikely, with the model claiming he and Cartwright had moved back in together after she initially moved out.

However, a source close to the couple revealed that the two are still living separately and the mother of one has moved into a new home after her short-term lease expired.

The insider contradicted Taylor’s statements and stressed that the couple is “not on the road to reconciliation.” They also mentioned that Cartwright’s visit to their shared home was simply to pack her things before moving into her new rental apartment.

In an episode of her Bravo show, The Valley, Cartwright opened up about the significant decline in their once passionate relationship. Reflecting on the early days of their relationship, the mother of one lamented the drastic change, explaining:

“When Jax and I first met, it was great. We had sex all the time. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I mean, we didn’t miss a day. And then it changed dramatically. I mean, in the last year we’ve done it twice. You know the old westerns when the tumbleweed rolls around? That’s our sex life. I’m the old tumbleweed.”

Taylor also acknowledged his role in the fading spark between them, confessing, “I think it’s safe to say that the romantic spark just isn’t there right now.”

The actor took responsibility, adding: “I will take the blame, yes. I let that spark go out. It’s just not fair to any of us. It’s especially not fair to my wife. She deserves a man to love her.”

Apart from her intimacy issues, the 35-year-old also revealed the moment that marked the end of their relationship.

In a candid conversation with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, Cartwright claimed that her decision to spend an evening with her friend and co-star Kristen Doute sparked Taylor’s anger.

The reality TV star said: “We had just had a terrible argument and it was like a veil had been lifted and I realised everything was wrong. You know, they always say a woman can reach her limits and it’s hard to come back from that.”

She found that after this confrontation, their relationship fell into a vicious cycle of toxicity, as everything became a trigger for conflict.
