Chelsea pre-season plan: When will the Blues warm up for the new 2024/25 Premier League season?

Chelsea pre-season plan: When will the Blues warm up for the new 2024/25 Premier League season?

A new beginning is on the horizon at Chelsea after Mauricio Pochettino decided by mutual consent to leave Stamford Bridge after just one year at the helm. Former Leicester City head coach Enzo Maresca is now in the Stamford Bridge dugout.

Pochettino ended the 2023/24 season on a high note, but otherwise the season was disappointing for the Blues. Chelsea finished the Premier League season in sixth place and, in addition to being knocked out in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, they also finished second behind Liverpool in the Carabao Cup.

The former Tottenham Hotspur head coach secured Chelsea’s place in the 2024/25 Europa Conference League, meaning the increased squad at Maresca’s disposal could come in handy.

Since the arrival of owners Clearlake and Todd Boehly, the Blues have been the main players in the transfer window and it doesn’t look like it will be any different this summer. By the time the new season starts, Chelsea’s squad could look very different to how it will look in 2023/24.

Over the next few weeks, they will refine their preparations with a series of warm-up games. Here is their full schedule:
