Chris Kattan of “SNL” launches debut podcast “Idiotically Speaking”

Chris Kattan, known for his career as a comedian and as a leading actor in Saturday Night Liveis about to launch his first podcast.

PodcastOne has signed a multi-year agreement with Kattan for the distribution and sale of its podcast Spoken idiotically with Chris Kattan. The weekly comedy and variety show podcast launches July 24 and features guests who chat with Kattan and co-hosts Andy Bolduc and Joseph Nuñez and then participate in an improv comedy scenario.

The Companion SNL Graduates will be featured in upcoming episodes of Idiotic speaking include Fred Armisen, Dana Carvey, Rachel Dratch, Tim Meadows, Bobby Moynihan, Chris Parnell and Cecily Strong.

“PodcastOne is excited to welcome Chris, Andy and Joseph to the network,” said PodcastOne President Kit Gray in a statement. “Chris’ comedic genius, improvisational skills and rapport with his co-hosts at Idiotic speaking are great additions to the shows that are already part of our schedule. We know that listeners and advertisers alike will embrace this show with enthusiasm.

Kattan added: “Andy, Joey and I are incredibly excited to launch the show on PodcastOne. It’s a great pleasure to interview old friends, reconnect and chat about our travels, from our days SNL to our lives today. And we can’t wait for fans to hear the hilarious new sketches we create each week with these comedy legends.”

Kattan appeared on NBC’s Saturday Night Live for seven seasons and was known for sketch characters such as Mango and Mr. Peepers. His feature films include A night at the Roxbury, Corky Romano And Undercover brotherand he continues to tour the country doing stand-up comedy performances.
