The event took place in Lagos on Sunday, July 14th and was hosted by emcee Ik Osakioduwa. It was a tough competition with various contestants showcasing their musical prowess alongside Chima on stage.

Chima’s victory was rewarded with a brand new SUV, 30m Naira, a DSTV Explora and other interesting prizes.

In a video, he said he was grateful to Nigerians who voted for him and thanked them profusely. He also shed a tear when he won and declared he would not cry again while expressing his gratitude to his fans.

Victory Gbakara wins season 8 of Nigerian Idol

Legit.ng It was previously reported that singer Victory Gbakara emerged as the winner of the eighth season of Nigerian Idol.

Gbakara received a grand prize of 100 million naira, including 35 million naira in cash.
