Olivia Munn mourns the loss of her “instant friend” Shannen Doherty.

The former “Newsroom” actress revealed in a touching tribute that she had developed a “bond” with the late actress during their shared battle with cancer.

“The death of Shannen Doherty breaks my heart,” the 44-year-old told her followers on Sunday, one day after the “Charmed” alumna died at the age of 53.

“When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I remembered how brave she was in sharing her journey and connecting with the world,” Munn recalled in her story, admitting that she “couldn’t understand” their ensuing friendship because “Beverly Hills, 90210” had once been “everything” to her.

“Our shared struggle and desire to help other women bonded us,” she continued, before revealing the last text message she received from Doherty.

“A few months ago, she asked me how I was doing and if there was anything she could do for me,” Munn wrote. “As always, Shannen offered me her support, even though she was in the final stages of battling this terrible disease.”

The former Daily Show correspondent summed it up: “Cancer is really fucking bad and Shannen has faced it with so much dignity, strength and grace.

“Sending all my love to her mother who was her best friend, hero and champion every step of the way. Fly so high my friend.”

Doherty’s death, which she had battled with cancer for nearly a decade, was announced on Sunday. Numerous former co-stars of the star paid tribute to her life on social media.

When Munn received her own diagnosis in 2023, she kept her health issues out of the public eye until she recovered.

Since sharing her story in March, the “Predator” star has described her battle with cancer in numerous interviews, from her reaction to her mastectomy scars to her decision to have a full hysterectomy.

Munn is the mother of two-year-old son Malcolm, who was reportedly present at her intimate wedding ceremony to John Mulaney earlier this month.
