Love Island stars do not appear on Aftersun as fears grow that they have split

Love Island’s Tanya Manhenga and Shaq Muhammad surprised their fans by seemingly finding everlasting love with each other following their appearances on the show’s winter 2023 series.

However, rumours of a split between the reality couple have been circulating in recent weeks – fuelled by the fact that the pair unfollowed each other on social media. And now speculation has intensified as Shaq and Tanya did not appear on Love Island: Aftersun – despite being scheduled to appear on the show.

The pair were set to appear in the spin-off with Maya Jama as former islanders behind the aftersun bar. The show’s TV schedule states: “Maya Jama will be joined by Indiyah Polack, Sam Thompson, Chris Taylor and season nine favourites Tanya and Shaq to unpack all the action from the Love Island villa.”

While Indiyah, Sam and Chris, as well as the most recently deported islanders, were present, Shaq and Tanya were nowhere to be seen or mentioned.

OK! has reached out to representatives for Shaq and Tanya for comment.

Tanya and Shaq have unfollowed each other on Instagram and deleted all traces of each other on their respective pages, despite previously having a strong social media presence.

The move has left fans worried about the couple’s future as they expressed their sadness on Instagram and TikTok. One wrote: “Aww I really loved following them together on Insta and TikTok, they’ve become one of my favourite couples.”

Another fan expressed confusion at the extent of the deletion, saying: “I would have deleted a few, but deleting a post that was a day old and essentially erasing it from her feed, including pictures from her family trip last year, is very weird. This is not normal cleaning behavior.”

Despite a difficult time on Love Island, the couple reconciled and finally moved in together just six months after finishing fourth on the show.

Tanya excitedly told her followers: “We have a new home. I guess there’s no escaping now. I always have to thank God for this next step in our lives. I’m excited for this next chapter.”

Earlier this year, the couple even took a romantic trip to Zanzibar and shared a series of snaps from the trip in which they can be seen kissing and cuddling. All of these pictures appear to have been deleted from their respective social media channels.

As they shared a glimpse of the holiday, one fan even joked, “FINALLY GET MARRIED.”
