Tiffany Haddish shocks “Today” show hosts with explicit details about “self-love”

Tiffany Haddish spoiled the plans of presenters Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager this week Today with Hoda and Jennawhen she talked about masturbation and dragged Kotb into it: “Hoda, don’t sit there and act like you’ve never taken care of yourself,” she said, while the two moderators shook with laughter.

Haddish was on the show on Friday to promote her new single “Woman Up,” which the hosts called an “empowerment anthem.” In an earlier conversation on TodayHaddish said the song was inspired by someone she used to date – to which Kotb asked if it was rapper Common, with whom Haddish was romantically involved from 2020 to 2021.

Haddish responded, “No, why are you sticking with – do you want to date Common, girl? You have a chance, you make enough money!”, which made them both laugh and also set the stage for Haddish to make fun of Kotb even more.

Later on the show, Haddish played a round of “All Rise With Tiffany,” in which the hosts Girls trip actress shared her opinion on some of the headlines of the day. One topic was a New York Post article that said regular sex could lead to better skin. Haddish has been open about her past abstinence, but has said a little more on the subject.

“I haven’t had sex since October – with anyoneshe said, “but I’m so much better with myself.” When Kotb laughed and tried to change the subject, Haddish challenged her. “Hoda, don’t sit there and act like you’ve never taken care of yourself. That’s called self-love, Hoda! That’s self-love.”

Kotb and Bush-Hager could barely contain their laughter (or embarrassment) when it came time to talk, but Haddish revealed even more details of her private moments while the hosts blushed: “(Masturbating) doesn’t take up that much time,” she said. “It goes bing, bing, bang, bang. I always treat myself to ice cream and stuff. I’m kind to myself.”
