Singer cancels rock concert to expose fan who groped woman in mosh pit

A heavy metal singer is being praised for interrupting a live show to condemn a man who groped a woman in the audience.

Dutch radio station NPO 3FM published Architects lead singer Sam Carter’s passionate speech to the crowd after witnessing the sexual assault at the Lowlands Festival in Biddinghuizen, the Netherlands on Friday.

“I saw a girl, a woman, crowd surfing here, and I’m not going to fucking point at the motherfucker who did it, but I saw you fucking grab her breast,” Mr. Carter said.

“I’ve seen it. It’s fucking disgusting and there’s no fucking place for that shit.”

Mr Carter said he would not tolerate this behavior on his show.

According to the Huffington Post, Carter was initially unsure whether to say anything.

However, he concluded by calling on anyone who continued to attack fans to leave the show.

“Let’s keep it up and make sure it remains a safe place,” he said.
In a similar incident last month, Circa Survive guitarist Brendan Ekstrom left the stage and confronted a man who had sexually harassed a fan at a concert in St. Louis, USA.

Many have praised the Architects singer for his voice.

“Much love and respect for doing this and looking out for your fans. You deserve a diehard fan for life,” one user tweeted.

Another thanked the singer for “talking about this issue instead of ignoring it.”

Mr Carter has since retweeted the video.

“There is no room for that at any show,” he said.
