Visual, singer and oldest member of one of the biggest K-pop groups in the world – BTS’ Jin was discharged from military service last month. He recently took to the web platform Weverse to give his fans – or ARMY as they are officially known – a glimpse into everything he has planned for the future. This included an update on the song Super Tunahis acting plans, a possible meet-and-greet, and other future projects. Jin also mentioned that he worked on a reality show – MBC supported the news, adding that the BTS member had finished filming. Here’s all about it.

BTS Jin to perform in a variety show on a deserted island, MBC confirms news

A report by Soompi reveals that the variety show is titled The half-star hotel in Lost Island — with BTS’ Jin being a migrant worker. In the show, TV star Ahn Jung Hwan and his staff run a “half-star hotel” on a deserted island, hoping to provide guests with five-star service while helping them escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Media company MBC confirmed the news, saying, “The filming of BTS’ Jin has already been completed and the broadcast schedule has not yet been decided.”

The singer himself had hinted to his fans in an online interaction that he would appear in a variety show. He added that he had no plans to act and that he would not release his song Super Tuna put on hold because band member Jimin wanted to release his new album. “I’m slowly moving forward with the plans I made in the military, step by step. I show up as often as I can, but also do my main job.” Indian Express quoted him as saying. “The final products are all released a few months later, so please wait a bit longer,” he added.

BTS colleague J-Hope is scheduled to be released in October 2024. Jin jokingly commented: “Wow, Hope-ah, it’s not long now. Get ready to work hard too! I only took one day off after I was released!”
