Ariana Grande fans freak out after a video goes viral of her changing her voice in the middle of an interview: “How did this happen?”

When Ariana Grande appeared on an episode of Penn Badgley’s podcast “Podcrushed,” her voice changed drastically while commenting on her new music, which understandably sent her fans into an uproar on social media.

A viral clip from the interview shared by TikTok user @scatsoplat shows the 30-year-old “The Boy Is Mine” singer talking about recording new music in a deep voice before switching to a much higher voice mid-commentary (think Victorious and Sam & Cat!).

“How did that just happen?” asked one confused fan in the comments section, followed by two crying emojis. “This is seriously crazy,” wrote another, while someone else said, “I don’t even know what her real voice sounds like anymore,” followed by three crying emojis. “Every time I hear her talk her voice sounds so different,” agreed another.

“She changes her personality every time, that’s dedication!” one fan exclaimed, while several others compared her to another famous person known for changing their voice. “Like Paris Hilton,” one fan joked, while another added, “She’s like Paris Hilton with her voices.”
