The Performance The universe recently suffered a huge blow when it was announced that Power Book II: Mind Season 4 and Power Book IV: Strength Season 3 would mark the end of both spinoffs. Given the continued success of the shows that aired in the Performance Franchise, the cancellations came out of the blue. Power Book II: Mind And Power Book IV: Strength are sequels to the original Performancewith some of the most popular characters. Their premature end raises questions about the feasibility of the Performance brand long term.


The strength of both series is that they did not try to reinvent the wheel. Instead, they showed familiar characters in the throes of conflict in new settings. The Power franchise continues, even without Force & Ghost

There will be more new shows in the Power Universe

Although Power Book II: Mind And Power Book IV: Strength are at the end, the only other spinoff has no end date. Led by Mekai Curtis, Power Book III: Raising Kanan received a renewal for Season 5 earlier this year, long before Season 4 premiered. Depending on how the future unfolds, Power Book III: Raising Kanan could ultimately be the longest-lasting Performance spin off.

as a bad sign for the franchise, but the goal of a network is to attract and retain viewers.

The reasons for this early extension are not yet known. The spin-off will probably serve to Power: Originsthanks to Ghost, Kanan and Tommy’s rich past. It would not be surprising if Curtis eventually Power: Origins Because Power Book III: Raising Kanan will probably not return for season 6 due to cost cutting at Starz.
