He shakes it off.
Travis Kelce responded to a fan who shouted a comment about Taylor Swift after he hit a bad shot at a golf tournament on Saturday.
According to a video obtained by NBC Sports, the Kansas City Chiefs star, who will compete in the 2024 American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Nevada from Friday to Sunday, immediately said “Oh no!” after swinging his golf club at the ball.
A fan then shouted, “It’s okay, you still have Taylor!”, to which 34-year-old Kelce pointed to the crowd and replied, “You’re not lying.”
The tight end seemed to have been thinking about Swift, also 34, all weekend.
At Friday’s celebrity golf match, Travis was seen dancing to a remixed version of the billionaire pop star’s 2022 hit “Lavender Haze” while playing the 17th hole on the green alongside his brother Jason Kelce.
Aside from his brief Swiftie dance break, the three-time Super Bowl champion was seen apologizing to a fan on Friday who was hit in the arm by one of Travis’ botched golf shots.
At one point, the NFL star walked up to the fan and kissed him on the arm to apologize for the mistake.
Travis’ golf outing comes a week after he was in Amsterdam to support his girlfriend, whose relationship he made public last September, on her Eras Tour concerts.
Last Saturday, the “Catching Kelce” alumnus seemed to get emotional as the “Cruel Summer” singer performed a mashup of songs dedicated to him.
As Travis wiped away his tears, his teammate Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, came over to check on him.
Although the two are currently separated, Swift subtly supported her boyfriend’s name as the NFL’s best tight end by liking a post about his new award.
The “Bad Blood” singer reportedly plans to attend “as many” Chiefs games as her Eras Tour schedule allows this fall. Swift’s historic tour is set to end in Vancouver in December.
