Starting to ski at such a young age encouraged me to try an activity outside of my comfort zone, make new friends and gain confidence with each new run. If you have children, don’t wait to get them excited about skiing.

One of my fondest childhood memories is learning to ski. I still remember learning to make pizza and chips as a three-year-old, the sense of achievement I had when I conquered my first black run, and the endless laughter my family and I had exploring different mountains over the years. If you think your kids aren’t interested in a sport like skiing, you can give them a nudge in the right direction with something very simple – books!

Below is a list of five books designed to get children interested in skiing. Try them out to see if your kids get lost in skiing and never want to stop.

Skiing is an activity that has bonded my family together in a way that can never be replicated. My dad loved being able to share something that meant so much to him with his children. Skiing will be a tradition I will pass on to my children and I hope that with these books I can spark their interest in skiing down the mountain with me.
