Another major error occurred during the Wimbledon men’s singles final between Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz, a day after Chris Evert was involved in a major slip-up.

Yesterday, Evert was commentating on the women’s singles final between Jasmine Paolini and Barbora Krejcikova. However, she had trouble pronouncing Paolini’s name correctly, calling her “Paolina” and “Paolineeeee” several times. This did not go down well with fans, who criticized Evert on social media for the poor execution. Tim Henman was involved in a similar blunder today while commentating on the men’s singles final.

The British legend made a lot of mistakes and fans criticized him on Twitter for his blunders. Like Evert, he had trouble pronouncing the name Alcaraz. Additionally, some of his views on Djokovic did not go down well with fans. As a result, they were frustrated and criticized Henman on social media for his blunders.

Henman was on the commentary panel for the men’s singles final alongside John McEnroe and Chris Fowler. However, some of his thoughts on players like Djokovic and Alcaraz have come under intense scrutiny. At one point he said that Djokovic hit the best shots down the line. However, some fans felt this was disrespectful to Nadal, who was a class above the rest in that regard. One of the fans wrote on Twitter: “Tim Henman says Djokovic is the player who has mastered the DTL shot the best. My brother in Christ, Nadal, did not torture the world with that shot for you to be so disrespectful to him.”

However, this was not Henman’s only mistake. The British commentator had trouble pronouncing Alcaraz’s name, which caught the attention of some fans who criticised them for the poor execution. One Twitter user was not happy about this and said: “Tim Henman’s anglophone pronunciation of Alcaraz (‘Alcarathgsph’) already makes me shudder.”

Alongside Henman, Nick Kyrgios is also on the commentary panel. However, they were not spared from an angry fan who vented his frustration after a series of errors, saying: “Henman, Kyrgios and Castle. Has such a mediocre talent ever spouted so much babble?”

Meanwhile, the Henman brothers have been accused of mispronouncing Alcaraz’s name on several occasions because of their British accents. One fan wrote: “Henman takes the trouble to pronounce Alcaraz’s name correctly without hesitation.” Finally, one Twitter user was not impressed with the commentators of the men’s singles final. He took to social media to express his frustration, taking a long pause while writing down the names.

Alcaraz is currently dominating the men’s singles final against Djokovic and has a good chance of winning the title. He won the first set and is one break ahead in the second.
