Anya Taylor-Joy brings cheer to Wimbledon with a canary-shaped clutch

Wimbledon showcases some of the best tennis players in the world, but fashion moments at the prestigious tournament often shift the focus to the court. That was the case on Saturday when Anya Taylor-Joyat her husband’s side Malcolm Wellman McRaehad come to watch the women’s singles final.

As the couple walked out hand-in-hand, Taylor-Joy wore a nude halter neck top that reached below her bust and featured a shiny black collar. She teamed her look with a matching black miniskirt that was gathered at the hips to create a pleated effect. Underfoot, pointed black leather heels completed her tailored ensemble.

The actress used her minimalist color palette as a basis for her quirky accessories. She channeled the noughties with a pair of reflective oval sunglasses and carried a canary-shaped clutch by JW Anderson. The sold-out model — retailing for $850 — bears a striking resemblance to the real bird it’s modeled after, featuring everything from bright yellow “feathers” to a pointed beak. And while the winged accessory didn’t fly, it certainly took Taylor-Joy’s look to new heights.

She kept the quirky accessory front and center as she posed for photos, holding the yellow clutch between her hands as if she had a real bird. The actress paired the look with her signature glam, wearing her signature red lip and styling her long platinum blonde locks in an effortless center part.

Her husband Malcolm, on the other hand, looked smart in a navy blue suit. His accessories were more formal, wearing black leather loafers and a green tie with asymmetrical white stripes, although he followed his wife’s example and also wore his long brown hair down. There’s no doubt that the couple have perfected their Wimbledon style.
