Chris Evans’ real accent “slipped out” during an interview and left people stunned

Fans of Chris Evans were completely taken aback when they heard Captain America The actor uses his real accent for an interview.

Thanks to his appearances in a number of films spanning more than two decades, you may think you know exactly what Chris Evans sounds like.

We’ve heard him challenge supervillains in his Marvel films, charm people in romantic comedies, and create suspense in crime dramas. Knife out – but for most of his career, Evans’ real accent remained off the screen.

Instead, the actor mostly had a fairly neutral American accent, but the way he spoke in this particular interview proved that he is never far from his roots.

Evans’ real accent slipped during a chat with Access Hollywood as he made the rounds to promote his 2022 Netflix film. The grey man.

Evans grew a mustache for the role and asked the reporter during the interview if they would rather have “a mustache or no mustache.”

“Be honest,” Evans continued. “Be honest.”

While the topic of conversation was clearly Evans’ facial hair, people were more shocked by what actually came out of his mouth after the video was shared online.

It’s hard to ignore the telltale Boston accent that shines through in Evans’ words, but considering the actor was born in the city, it makes sense that he actually speaks that way.

However, this could not prevent many fans from being completely surprised.

A number of baffled viewers took to social media to share their confusion after watching the clip, with one joking: “Chris Evans asking ‘mustache or no mustache’ in his Boston accent should be illegal and grounds for arrest.”

Another wrote: “Chris Evans is beefing up his Boston accent now that he’s done with Marvel.”

One person suggested that the actor’s real accent was actually a good indicator of his ability, writing, “Chris Evans is a much better actor than I previously thought if he was hiding that thick Boston accent all this time.”

“I can’t stop thinking about Chris Evans’ Boston accent and it’s driving me crazy,” added another viewer.

Of course, we don’t want Evans to feel like he can’t speak with the accent he grew up with, but it seems clear that people are much more comfortable hearing the more neutral accent he does in movies. Still, if Evans decides to go back to speaking all Boston, we’ll have to deal with it.
