Kelsey Parker has written an emotional tribute to her late husband Tom on the occasion of her six-year wedding anniversary.

The 33-year-old author shared her memories of The Wanted singer, who tragically passed away in March 2022 at the age of 33 after an 18-month battle with terminal brain cancer, glioblastoma.

Kelsey shared a touching video featuring a montage of their life together, including moments from their wedding where they can be seen happily dancing together.

Kelsey captioned the video with a thoughtful message: “Six years ago today. It feels like an eternity… I miss you every minute of the day. God I can’t wait to dance again ❤ To laugh again. To hold you in my arms again.”

“They say time heals all wounds, but it’s getting worse. I miss you so much and being with you seems more and more distant.”

“So much has happened that I want to talk to you about, but everything has stayed the same. Time has stood still since you left us.

“I feel like I was a different person back then with you. No worries in the world. How could we have known our fate? I wish more than anything that you were here and we were celebrating six years of marriage.

“I would say yes to you over and over again, my love. Until we meet again… thank you for the memories that fill my heart on the hardest days…

“If there is ever a tomorrow that we are not together, there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But most importantly, even when we are apart… I will always be with you.”

She ended the post by paying tribute to Tom’s love of football ahead of England’s match on Sunday, writing: “PS come on Tommy boy bring it home for us ⚽️ I know you’d be so excited today ❤️.”

Fans and friends flooded Kelsey’s touching Instagram post with supportive and emotional comments. Some said:

“I miss you so much my love ❤️ Imagine we’re in the final now! He’s losing his head @therealdeanbowen DEANO let’s go to Berlin”;

‘He has the best seat in the house for tonight’s game and I’m sure he will be cheering them on and helping them bring home the win. Happy anniversary, thinking of you and the babies ❤️’;

“It’s just so unfair. You should have been together for life, he seemed like such a beautiful soul❤️ sending lots of love x”;

“You are an incredibly brave and inspiring person, Kelsey”;

“This made me cry! He was so sweet. He is with you and wants you to dance again and have someone look after you again x”; “Sending you all lots of love ❤️ you could see your lives were pure”;

“He will look down on you and be so proud of you and what you have accomplished during this time.”

“You are such an amazing mum darling, dealing not only with your loss but also with the loss of your children. Sending you lots of love today xx”

Ahead of the second anniversary of his death, Kelsey told MailOnline: “March is such a difficult month for us as a family. I actually can’t believe that in just a couple of weeks it will be two years since we lost Tom.”

“It’s so strange because some days it seems like it happened yesterday and other days it seems like so much time has passed since we last saw him and it just breaks my heart. I think about him every day and that will never change.”

Last year, Kelsey set up a charity football match in Tom’s honour which took place on Father’s Day and she was delighted to announce that a second one will take place this year on Father’s Day, June 16. Kelsey’s sponsor is James Ryan of the Grove Gallery, who organised the event last year.

Kelsey said, “One thing I promised myself and Tom is to continue his legacy. Brain tumors kill more children and adults under 40 than any other type of cancer.”

“That’s more than leukemia, prostate cancer and breast cancer, and yet the government only allocates one percent of its funding to brain tumor research.”

“There is more that needs to be done and I feel that after Tom passed away, he passed the baton to me to continue to raise awareness and funds.

“We cannot keep losing our children, husbands, wives, parents, brothers and sisters to this cancer.”

“As part of Tom’s legacy, we will be hosting a second charity football match in his honor this Father’s Day. This is a great way for Rae and Bo to remember and celebrate their father. I don’t want them to be sad.

“The money raised will go back into research and help families like mine who have lost a loved one.”

“We have already received so much support and interest from prominent personalities and I can’t wait to announce who will be joining the line-up this year.”

Kelsey had previously announced that she would organize a football match in honor of the late singer. Together with her children, she is preparing for the second anniversary of his death.
Kelsey, who has four-year-old Aurelia and three-year-old Bodhi with the late star, hopes the event can help her two young children remember and celebrate their father as she does not want them to “feel sadness”.

Stars who supported Kelsey last year included brothers Ryan and Scott Thomas, Jake Quickenden from X Factor and Nathan Massey from Love Island.

100% of the proceeds from the game were donated to the brain tumour charity Ahead of The Game, which helps fund life-saving treatments and support affected families.

The charity invests in cancer patients and their families, providing rehabilitation, mental and emotional support, and financial assistance.
