New Delhi: A Pakistani YouTuber shocked people with a tasteless song criticizing girls’ education. Internet users harshly criticized the YouTuber.

YouTuber Hafiz Hasan Iqbal Chishti was criticized by netizens for a song condemning girls’ education. The song was titled ‘Apni Dhi Schoolo Hata Le Othy Dance Kardi Payi Ae (Take your daughter out of school, she was spotted dancing there)’. The misogynistic lyrics of the song state that parents should take their daughters out of school if they don’t want them to become prostitutes. The lyrics also claim that girls who go to school lose their respect. The video of the song includes a report of a dance competition held at a school in Pakistan at the request of UNESCO.

Controversy surrounding YouTuber Hafiz Hasan Iqbal Chishti

Netizens were angry and called out the man for his disrespect and contempt towards women and girls. One captioned the video, “The brother is jealous of the girls who go to school because he never got a chance.” Another netizen commented, “I am really shocked to see this nonsense man. Education is a basic right for everyone, whether it is a boy or a girl and this is not necessary. Any girl who is getting an education is doing something bad. 75% of the people in Pakistan are filled with this extremist mentality that is why we are not progressing like other countries in the world. The mother is the first school of every child and she should get an education to become a good citizen.”

A third person wrote: “How dare he speak so vilely about our sisters… He must be sacked… Also, he uses Haq Haq as background music and utters obscene words… He must be punished.”
