The charts include comparisons between PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, as well as older platforms. This monthly series compares worldwide sales of Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

The Xbox Series X|S launched in November 2020, while the Xbox One launched in November 2013. This means that the holiday release dates for the two consoles coincide.

May 2024 marks the 43rd month that the Xbox Series X|S has been available. Last month, the gap in favor of the Xbox One grew by 85,718 units compared to the simultaneous launch of the Xbox Series X|S.

In the last 12 months, 2.83 million more Xbox One units were sold than Xbox Series X|S. Currently, the Xbox Series X|S is 2.86 million units behind the Xbox One.

The Xbox Series X|S sold 28.74 million units in 43 months, and the Xbox One sold 31.60 million units. Month 43 is May 2024 for the Xbox Series X|S and May 2017 for the Xbox One.

The Xbox One crossed the 40 million mark in month 53, the 45 million mark in month 62, and the 50 million mark in month 71. Overall, the Xbox One sold 57.96 million units. The Xbox Series X|S trails the Xbox One by 29.22 million units in total sales.
