Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte met Taylor Swift backstage at the Eras Tour

Prince William is officially a Swiftie.

To celebrate his 42nd birthday, he brought his two eldest children – Prince George and Princess Charlotte – to watch the Eras Tour at London’s Wembley Stadium. (City & Country Reports that Kate Middleton stayed home with Prince Louis.) During the course of the evening, the royals met Taylor Swift backstage and took a few selfies with the pop superstar.

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ official social media channels shared a snap of Swift taking a selfie with the royals. “Thank you @taylorswift for an amazing night! #LondonTSTheErastour,” they wrote in the caption:

Swift posted a selfie from a slightly different angle – showing her boyfriend Travis Kelce wearing a US team Olympic cap. “Happy birthday M8!” Swift wrote in the caption, referring to Prince William’s birthday. “The shows in London are off to a great start.” She ended the picture with emojis of the British flag, the American flag and a handshake.

Videos of the royals from the concert appear to show Zara Tindall and her daughter Mia Tindall along with the Waleses. The royals all watched from a private box at Wembley Stadium – they were not sitting on the floor in the so-called “VIP tent.” Videos also show the Prince of Wales dancing to “Shake It Off” during the concert. 1989 Part of the set.

Swift will perform at Wembley Stadium seven more times (two more times this month and five times in London). The first night was a star-studded affair – alongside Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, BridgertonNicola Coughlan, Cara Delevigne, Salma Hayek and more were in attendance – so we can expect to see even more stars (and possibly more royals!) at their other shows.
